Dupa The Italic Cat, iata si “The 8 bit Cat”:

De curand, am intalnit o problema destul de apasatoare in ceea ce priveste Adobe Flash player rulat pe un windows 7 pe 64 de biti.

Sistemul arata cam asa:

Windows7 Home Premium 64bit + Firefox si Google Chrome pe 32 bits + pentru fiecare din cele 2 browsere instalat Adobe Flash (bineinteles ca pe 32 de biti ca pe 64 nu exista) + ATI Radeon HD 4570 cu ultimul driver de la AMD (ATI).

Flashul mergea foarte OK pana cand foloseai full-screen. Cand se intampla asta dupa aproximativ 10 secunde crashuia tot sistemul  fara niciun mesaj. Pur si simplu asteptai 7 minute sa-ti mute mouse-ul cu 2 cm mai incolo .

In Event Viewer – > Windows Logs -> System, mesajele erau destul de sumare, “display driver has crashed and it has been successfully recovered”, iar google de data asta nu prea a fost de ajutor.  Faza cea mai ciudata era ca asta se intampla exclusiv pe contul/contrile de administratori, pe celelalte ruland fara nicio problema.

Repetand incidentul de cateva ori (intentionat), dupa incercarea a vreo 3 versiuni de drivere de la ATI, si 2 formatari, am decis sa dezactivez hardware acceleration pentru Adobe Flash player (click dreapta pe orice flash -> settings -> debifezi “enable hardware acceleration”:

Si… s-a rezolvat. Ruleaza fin si fara probleme.

O chestie descoperita de mine destul de curand este ca Windows Live Messenger (ex-msn-messenger, ex-windows-messenger) pe Windows 7 nu merge minimizat in Tray.

Dupa o mica cautare pe google (za best friend) am gasit si solutia, si anume:

1. inchideti Live Messenger

2. Start –> click dreapta Windows Live Messenger –> Proprieties apoi mergeti la Compatibility – > Bifati optiunea numita “Run this program in compatibility mode for:” –> Selectati optiunea Windows Vista –> Apply –> ok

3. Porniti Windows Live Messenger –> Intrati in cont si apoi apasati butonul de inchidere a ferestrei (x-ul rosu din coltul din dreapta sus)…

eh Voila:

PS: cam penala toata faza asta… (2 produse facute de aceeasi companie sa nu fie 100 % compatibile).
